The Useful Guide to Write Thank you Messages for your Agents

This is a season to thank all people that have contributed to our teams, service and company. Some people have the ability to come up easily with a unique, creative and meaningful thank you message, but, for the majority of us, it is really difficult to elaborate a message with those characteristics. You can look for some pre-elaborated messages on the internet, but they might not say what you really want to say or will not have the same impact on your team. We believe it should be a responsibility of every leader to thank their team members with a sincere message. For that reason, we want to help you come up with an original message that will truly express what you feel for your team, with a list of words from where you can choose what fits best for you and some formulas that will facilitate this meaningful task.

 

First, you need to spot what you are thankful for:  Is it because the team or the person achieves something, reaches a challenge or contributes? What did they do that makes you feel thankful for?

 

Second, you need to analyze those qualities of the group or person that made them achieve that something you identify, is it passion? Efficiency? Willingness? Maybe the three of them.

 

And finally, identify how that makes you feel or what do you want to do about it to thank the person or team.

Now that you have chosen the words you want to use, you can write a brief message. Or you can use these simple formulas:

Example: I want to congratulate you for your enthusiasm, passion and positive attitude that always makes a difference in our work environment.

 

[Positive effect] is possible thanks to your [Person’s quality or qualities]. I want to/I am/I feel [How you feel or how you want to express gratitude] [add something that will make your message fit better with the situation].

 Example: Success is possible thanks to your commitment and hard work. I feel grateful to having you in our team.

 

Your [Person’s quality or qualities] is what [positive effect] I want to/I am/I feel [How you feel or how you want to express gratitude] [add something that will make your message fit better with the situation].

 Example: Your confidence is what helps you overcome every challenge. I am proud of your growth in the company.

 

Recommendation

Try to think of fun and unique phrases that can give energy and complement your thank you message like:

  • Two thumbs up!
  • You are a winner!
  • I don’t say it enough, but…
  • Stay hungry!
  • Keep fighting!
  • The sky is the limit!

 

But keep in mind that we are just providing some guidance for you to come with an easier thank you message, but don’t limit your creativity!
